Weirdest expectations on Valentine's day

By: Fazlie

Valentines is all about expressing love and exchanging gifts with your significant other.
When we talk about valentines first thing that will pop up in your mind is chocolates and
roses, and a nice dinner at a decent restaurant. But are you one of those who are expecting
something bizarre this year around?

Booking a plot/tomb panel
On Valentine’s Day already planning for the day you lay in peace? Yes. A young man in
his late 20’s, who doesn’t want to be named, would want to book a tomb panel on this
valentine with his girlfriend to mark his love for his girlfriend even after death. This goes
well with the saying, ‘until death does us apart’.

Marriage proposal.
Sofy Mohseen, 29.
"I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for about 8 years now. But every
Valentine's, he never failed to surprised me. For instance, last year, we took a trip
together to Sheffield, UK (all sponsored by him). As for this year, I expect nothing but a
marriage proposal from him. I know it sounds sturdy, but we have been in love for 8
friggin years. I think it's time to take it to another level."

Bloody valentine
It’s a trend at Japan whereby young girls make chocolates for their boyfriends for
Valentine’s Day. But they are using some bizarre ingredient in it. Yes. They use their
menstrual blood and some even use their body hairs as their secret ingredient in making
chocolates for their boyfriend which is called honmei choco. Something similar, a
secondary school girl from Petaling Jaya, would want to receive something bizarre this
year around. Since this is their first year she had coupled of with this guy, she wants him
to gift a card with poem inked with blood of how much she means to him. When asked
her on why blood, she said blood is regarded as intimate and someone will ever cut
oneself to prove his love. This is actually a voodoo tradition whereby if you add a drop of
your blood in your man’s food/drinks, he will be forever devoted to you.

An unexpected trip
Granuiver, 21.
"Normally, most girls expect a bouquet of flowers from their loved ones on Valentine's. A
box of chocolates or a fancy dinner. But As for myself, I would expect an-unexpected trip
(by bus) from him. It doesn't really matter where the destination is but what's important it
has to be sudden and he has to be with me all the way."

You’ll be in my heart just like a tattoo
Been too long in a relationship and want to take the relationship to another level? Want to
have your significant other close to yourself? So why not get a tattoo of yourself
together? That’s what a couple decided on doing something special this valentine. But
what makes it extraordinary is that they want to get the tattoo on their tongue. They said
‘’when you feel pain in something you want, that’s when you will be more devoted in
your goal. That’s how our love is’’.

Zombiefied love
Ever wanted to know how you look like after life with your partner? Why not have a
zombie portrait of yourself with your partner. A social networker posted on Facebook that
she wanted to have a zombie photograph with her boyfriend for this year’s valentine. She
wanted to get a good makeover at a professional makeup artist and get a professional
photo shoot for valentines. She intends to use the photograph on her wedding day even.

An amorous breakfast.
"Unfortunately, this year, Valentine's falls on friday, so we both will be leaving to work
early in the morning. Like usual. I guess, it is going to be like our previous Valentine's: an
after-work dinner and our yearly 'exchanging gifts' ritual. But, if I were to expect
something from my boyfriend; it would definitely be a 'seductive breakfast' from him. I
mean, he is the best cooker, it would be better if he can put some extra 'toppings' to it.

Just be the 'yes-man' for a day.
Dinda Ghifanti, 34.
" I value Valentine's very highly. We only celebrate it once in a year, plus, my husband
and I rarely spend our precious moment together due to work. Hence why I would make
sure something is well-planned on the 14th of february every year, so a 'no' (or any
relevant excuses to ditch Valentine's) is not something I would expect from him on
Valentine's. In other words, I would expect him to say 'yes and yes' to my every plans I
made on Valentine's. I don't think that is too much to
ask for. "
